Taylor had recently purchased a sofa table at an auction and she thought it was perfect candidate for a stencil makeover. After browsing the website, Taylor fell in love with our French Poem Allover Stencil. She sanded down the top of the table and then wiped the dust off. Taylor painted the top of the table using Cheesecake from Country Chic Paints, a warm cream color. Once the paint was dry, she was ready to stencil. Taylor used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint on the script pattern in Country Chic Paints' Dark Roast. To complete the look she painted the legs of the table in the same dark brown hue and then brushed on a gold metallic creme. The final step included applying a natural wax for protection. Taylor commented, " I love how the French Poem Stencil gives enough of a pattern but doesn’t feel too busy and can be decorated easily. Tammy found this wooden coffee table at Habitat Restore. Based on the decorative details on the side of the table, she knew this was perfect piece to stencil with the French Poem pattern. Tammy decided to paint it using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old Ochre. After the creamy white paint was dry, she stenciled the top of the table using the typography pattern in Annie Sloan's graphite. Tammy used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place while painting the pattern using a dense foam roller. When the stencil was complete, she gave the table a coat of wax for protection. We think it looks stunning!
