Stencils Give Old Furniture A New Look

Furniture Stencils Can Make Old Furniture Look Better Than New

Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! It's easy to transform trash, thrift store, or hand-me-down furniture into beautiful pieces with a fresh coat of paint and a stencil pattern. Our furniture stencil patterns are a creative solution for updating an old or dull piece. Today we're excited to share two furniture projects that are very inspiring. Let's take a look. Cutting Edge Stencils shares two DIY painted and stenciled furniture projects using damask stencil patterns. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/collections/stencils-damask-stencil-walls Damask Stencils Add Elegance To An Old Table We'd like you to meet Suzy Parker, the creative mind behind the furniture restoration company Love and Love Again. She inherited a small round table that was worn and needed a little love. Since she loves to give new life to old pieces in hopes that someone will love it again, she was thrilled to tackle this project. Suzy sanded and painted the entire table black. Then she chose to give the top a dose of personality using a pretty damask stencil pattern. After browsing our website, the Gabrielle Damask Allover was selected. Suzy used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the classic damask pattern in metallic gold using a dense foam roller. To complete the look, she added gold around the rim of the table, as well as, along the legs. Once it was finished, she snapped a picture and posted on Instagram, "The stencil came up really well. " We love how this small table turned out! Michelle had stumbled upon this 9 drawer dresser sitting roadside. It was dated and worn but Michelle was up for the makeover challenge. She sanded it and painted it a dark gray hue using Sweet Pickins Milk Paint. Then she filled in the ugly tulip carvings to give it a more modern look. Michelle chose to add a pretty damask stencil design to the front cabinet. She used painter's tape to hold the Brocade No. 1 Stencil in place and painted the damask pattern in white using a dense foam roller. Michelle had this to say about the project, "Just another reason not to give up on your beloved, worn furniture!" We love the fresh take on this vintage piece!
